AGMath Challenge

Middle Schoolers – Try your hand at the AGMath Challenge contest. The problems can be found at the link below. Here are the instructions for the contest:

Quick Instructions:
Please read everything below before printing and working on the Challenge set.

– Print the problem set below.
– Solve as many problems as you can without a calculator in 20 minutes.
– E-mail your ten answers to jbatterson@agmath.com with the subject: AGMath Challenge.
– Include your name as you would like for it to appear in the results, your school, and your state.
– Results will be posted on the website www.agmath.com shortly after the due date.
– Each week I will be posting challenge sets of ten problems each on this page for an informal competition. These are some of the problem sets I am using with the teams I coach in North Carolina and are similar to the more difficult Warm-Ups found in the MATHCOUNTS school handbooks.

AGMath Challenge Set 1 (Due: November 20th, 2009)

Even if you can’t answer all of the questions, it’s worth your time to submit your answers.
